Overview
Gymboree approached Crispy Interactive for help with a long overdue update to the eComm sites for their two main children's brands: Gymboree and Janie & Jack. They had just spent six months and seven figures on a larger agency that failed to deliver a design they could implement. They needed a solution that would bring their user experience forward, but that could work within the constraints of their existing CMS.
As Design Director I collaborated with their marketing team, developers, and partners at UGC platform BazaarVoice to define a templated solution that could be applied to both Gymboree and Janie & Jack. Then designers and developers at Crispy coordinated a 3-month rolling production process to deliver the new UI for integration by the client's developers.
The resulting experience reflects what consumers expect when shopping online: interactive product images, outfit pairing suggestions, recommendations, and social proof in the form of reviews paired with Instagram and Facebook integrations.
